Karen hopes that her weight loss will raise awareness of the importance of maintaining a healthy diet whilst being sponsored to lose the pounds.

At the end of her incredible challenge, Karen will put herself in front of the cameras for a change to show the end result of her weight loss! She has enrolled the help of award-winning photographer Jill Furmanosvky, Who In her more than three-decade career, has captured a vast array of the world’s most recognizable musicians, from Bob Marley, Bob Dylan and Blondie to Oasis and U2. Karen said: “I’m absolutely delighted to have Jill doing the photos, I talked to her about the project and she didn’t hesitate to come on board. It’s going to feel strange getting in front of the camera for a change, especially as I will be going naked, but it’s all for a great cause.”

Lizzie Jones, Area Volunteer Manager at Cancer Research UK said, “We are thrilled that Karen has chosen to support Cancer Research UK and boost awareness of a balanced diet to help reduce the risk of illnesses in later life.
